Jennifer Hyatt believes that everyone’s story matters.  She is happy to be a part of the Kamali’i family where she is able to live out her passion of supporting others every day.  Through a down to earth and open-minded approach, Jen partners with her clients to offer a therapeutic healing space that promotes empowerment and positive self-growth. Jen works best with those who are ready for and motivated towards a pivotal change; wherever that may lead us on our unique life journey.

When Jen is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to podcasts, practicing mindful living, traveling far and wide, reading, savoring her coffee ice cream and chai tea latte, and sitting in coffee shops catching up with her friends.  Jen’s favorite quote is “You are the author of your own life story…so make it a good one!” Jen is eager to meet you and is excited to share in your journey!

Jayzme Perry, ACSW

Jayzme (Jay-zeem) has a passion for mental healthcare and is excited to be a part of the KCC team. Jay believes that her role as a therapist is to partner with her clients in a way that allows them to discover their strengths and build upon them. Jay understands that life can be very difficult, but she is ready to help clients develop skills to handle life’s twists and turns. Jay’s favorite quote is “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them” -Maya Angelou. Resiliency is key!

In her free time, Jay loves to spend time with her family and close friends. Jay enjoys a nice sunny day at the beach or any day where she is enjoying some kind of delicious food and an iced coffee. Also, if you catch her dancing, don’t be surprised.

Alex Espinola

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee

Alex’s great passion is helping people through traumatic/ stressful experiences. Alex has a background in the health care field and social services. Alex believes that we all have different experiences from our own stories and he’s excited to empower others to take charge of their own journey. Alex’s favorite quote is “Every day is a fresh start” -Dagny Scott Barrios.

Outside of the office, Alex is always looking for a new podcast or show to binge. When not spending time with his family and dog, he can be spotted at a local walking trail with a coffee in hand.

Christopher Figueroa

Christopher is thrilled to be part of the Kamali’i family. Chris wants to serve individuals and families through challenging times by discovering the best method to encourage personal growth and development. When Chris is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, practicing Jiu-Jitsu, and hiking with his family and dogs.

Dan Jedynak

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee

Dan loves to celebrate humans being fully human, in all forms – the blissful joyous times, and the deeply messy ‘life is falling apart’ times. Dan is an advocate for balancing the analysis of the mind with experiencing life and transformation through inhabiting the body. It’s important to think things through, AND feel things through. Dan supports his clients in raising their emotional capacity, developing trust in themselves, and finding resilience to adapt to the ever-changing ebbs and flows of life.

In his free time, Dan likes to rock climb, dance, or just about any activity that allows him to move his body. He also likes to play and listen to music, or spend time in nature with friends.

Karina Chavez, AMFT

Karina joins us with a background in mental health as an Agency Social Worker and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.  Karina likes to come alongside her clients to collaborate and support them on their journey.  Karina has a passion for working in an environment of service to others.  

When Karina is not working, Karina values time with her children and teaching them a balance of hard work and enjoying the present moments.  Karina’s favorite quote is “So Shines a Good Deed in a Weary World” – A Shakespeare quote or, better yet, a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory quote.
